Andrew Goss

I am the Chair of the Department of History, Anthropology and Philosophy at Augusta University, and a Professor of History. In addition to my administrative responsibilities, I continue to maintain a research agenda about the scientific and technological interactions that have contributed to creating the modern world. I have published widely about the history of science in modern Indonesia, and am currently at work on a global history of the pharmaceutical drug quinine. My teaching extends from world and Asian history to the history of science and medicine. I joined the university in 2014 after a decade at the University of New Orleans.
